Financial reports and multi-factor authentication

9 July 2024 · 3 min read · By the SHIPM8 team

In this update we improved a number of financial areas based on what our users asked for. You can also switch on multi-factor authentication now, to keep your organisation better protected.

Multi-factor authentication

Security for you and your colleagues matters to us. From this release on, you can use multi-factor authentication (MFA) to better protect your users' accounts. Users can switch it on themselves from their profile page, and you can also make it mandatory for the whole organisation.

For the whole organisation

Want to make MFA mandatory for everyone? You set that up on the administration pages. On the user management page, the MFA settings button changes the setting for your organisation.

Reports

We changed a few things in the reports module.

  • You can now set your own limit on how many items load into your own reports.
  • The revenue analysis report has several new options:
    • You can switch the report to a view by quantity instead of the default view by amount.
    • All columns are now available at both column and row level.
    • You can export the report to Excel.
    • Clicking certain cells to pull up more detail did not work. That is fixed.

Smaller changes

We also improved a few smaller things:

  • There is a new widget on the financial dashboard for invoices still waiting to be checked.
  • You can now change your username and email address.
  • An invoice that could not be calculated correctly ended in an error. That is fixed.
  • The Checked button in invoicing went from green to blue.
  • Attachments were not always shown correctly in the email window.
  • Dragging a document onto the expenses now gives you a selection box in the expense registration.
